My Wine Tales Update

It has been a long time since I have written here, so this is long overdue. I have been workign on utilizing Scala the new programming language. And maven the build tool, so things are automated as much as possible. Putting an app together is not as simple as you might think. Going forward should be much easier. Some features to look forward to will be a "Plus" version, sharing with your friends, and posting to the web.

What is My Wine Tales

I have created a mobile app for the wine enthusiast or just the casual wine drinker. My app as of now will let you add the name of a wine, vintage, varietal, and where you had that wine. You will also put it into red, white or blush category and rate it 1-10. This will serve as your storage place where you can retrieve wine information when needing to purchase wine for dining, entertainment, or just for your enjoyment.

My Wine Tales the Mobile App

I just got this idea for aa useful mobile app about a month ago. I bought the Spring EVO 4G with the idea I would be able to write apps for it, but I didn't have any ideas. I write Java software for a living, so I thought it wouldn't be hard to do. For the past month, I have spent all my spare time putting this together and learning how to do it. It has been a good learning experience. And it has taken me a little longer than I wanted, but I have arrived at the most minimal functional version of "My Wine Tales" for Android. Please give it a try!
